The Defense Health Agency (DHA) Central Markets Contracting Division (CM-CD) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Medical Document Shredding Services using the policies and procedures of FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR 13.5, Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items. This requirement will be solicited for full and open competition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 561990-All Other Support Services. The Product and Service Code (PSC) is R616 – Support – Administrative: Physical Records Management Services.
The Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) at F.E. Warren Air Force Base (AFB) Wyoming (WY) requires contractor support to provide non-personal services to include all labor, parts, tools, materials, and transportation necessary to provide regularly scheduled, on-site document destruction services. Document destruction services shall be performed on-site on a bi-weekly basis (26 times per year). The contractor shall provide secure lockable storage containers, on-site destruction, and disposal of confidential documents to include sensitive Personal Identifiable Information (PII) and Protected Health Information (PHI) requiring proper handling and destruction under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the Privacy Act of 1974.
Services are expected to begin on approximately 2 April 2023. The period of performance will be a 12-month base period and four (4) 12-month option periods thereafter, with the option to extend services for an additional six months in accordance with FAR clause 52.217-8.
The solicitation, any documents related to this procurement, and all amendments will be issued in electronic form. The solicitation will be posted to this site (SAM.gov). The solicitation is expected to be available on or about 17 February 2023.
