NOTICE OF THE INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE

The Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration (DOT/FHWA) – Central Federal Lands Highway Division, 12300 W. Dakota Ave., Lakewood Colorado intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to Grand Encampment Museum, 807 Barnett Ave, Encampment, Wyoming, 82325. The museum will be curating more than 600 artifacts that were recovered from the Copperton and Battle, Wyoming townsites during the reconstruction of Forest Highway 11. The artifacts reflect the changing usage of the land over the historic time period from 1880 to 1920. The museum will study and maintain the artifacts and is uniquely qualified for the curation of local area artifacts.

This contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 561990 - All Other Support Services, Standard Size $14.5.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
