With the MERV rating changed from MERV 8 to MERV 10, wondering if it would still be ok to provide pricing on a MERV 8A filter which is a more effective filter than a standard MERV 8 filter and would be as good or better than a MERV 10.
Answer An addendum has been issued that allows for an alternate of MERV 8A filters. Bidders must provide detailed product information on all items being bid. Thank you.

Good Afternoon Carl,

Hope all is well.

Regarding RFQ #23-129 Merv 8 Air Filters - April 2023, I noticed the term that is used mentioned MERV 8 Filters ONLY.

MERV 8 graded filters are antiquated, MERV 10 are the industry standard.

Please see attached cutsheet of what we would plan to submit, please let me know if MERV 10 pleats are acceptable.

Last question, this is for a one-time purchase?
