SCOPE OF WORK Building 64 Converted to Wireless Thermostats Project # 666-24-122 VA Medical Center, Sheridan, WY INTRODUCTION: The Sheridan VA Medical Center (VAMC) has a need to replace the existing HVAC temperature sensors in Building 64. The existing wired sensors are commonly located behind furniture and do not adequately sense the temperature in the spaces they control. The VAMC needs to replace the existing sensors with wireless sensors that can be located properly in the space to provide proper temperature sensing and regulation for each space. This project is on station at the Sheridan VAMC located at 1898 Fort Road, Sheridan, Wyoming. STATEMENT OF WORK Refer to the contract drawings for specific items to be included. Mainly, the work includes providing and installing wireless thermostats in designated rooms of Building 64. Base bid shall be the price for all the work indicated in the plans and specifications. B. Deductive alternates: The Government may or may not determine it necessary to remove certain identified alternates. These alternates are proposal options under the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) for the Government to exercise at the Government s sole discretion. The Government may exercise all, none or a selection of these options at its discretion, as is the Government s right. There is no required order for acceptance of the options. The evaluation of price will be in accordance with (IAW) FAR 525-217-3 Evaluation Exclusive of Options. D. Deductive alternate no.1: There is no deductive alternate for this project. Performance Period: Upon receiving the Notice to Proceed (NTP) the contractor shall contact the COR to arrange a kickoff meeting and site visit. After NTP the construction period shall be no longer than 30 calendar days. Codes: All work shall be provided in accordance with the most current edition of the following criteria: Contract drawings. Contract specifications. VA Design and Construction Procedures. Most current version of National Fire Protection Association Codes including NFPA 99 Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. International Mechanical Code.
