SYNOPSIS DESCRIPTION: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center, 6162 S. Willow Drive, Suite 300, Greenwood Village CO 80111 intends to solicit sources to enter into a firm-fixed price definitive contract to provide Anatomic Pathology Services for Cheyenne VA Medical Center located 1360 E Pershing BLVD, Cheyenne, WY 82001, and Sheridan VA Medical Center located at 1898 Fort Road Sheridan, WY 82801.
Contractor shall provide anatomic pathology patient results. Contractor shall be available to
respond to requests to frozen sections and fine needle aspirates- 24/7. Government will make.
every attempt to pre-schedule procedures if possible. Contractor shall be available 24 hour, 7.
days/week, 52 weeks/year availability to the Medical and Laboratory staff of the VA Medical
Center, primarily in the areas of blood bank and anatomic pathology. The contractor(s) shall
be available, on an on-call basis to respond for emergency cases within one hour or less of
notification. Consultation with medical technologists on various clinical questions which
develop in the laboratory departments concerning hematology, coagulation, microbiology,
urinalysis, chemistry, immunochemistry, and blood bank issues to include review of
hematology slides for abnormal and difficult cellular determinations and recommended.

The solicitation package will be available for download on or about August 31, 2023, and proposals shall be due 7 days after the issuance of the solicitation, and no later than 10:00 a.m. mountain time. The applicable NAICS code is 621511- Medical Laboratories with a small business size standard of 41.5 Million. However, the small business size standard for a concern that submits an offer, other than on a construction or service acquisition, but proposes to furnish an end item that it did not itself manufacture, process, or produce is 500 employees, or 150 employees for information technology value-added resellers under NAICS code 621511.
